You’ve Always Had the Power: A 100th Episode Reflection
January 07, 2026
Hey Doc —
We made it. 100 episodes.
And while I could rattle off stats or talk about milestones, I just want to talk to you. Woman to woman. Physician to physician. One mom to another.
This podcast started during one of the hardest seasons of my life — postpartum burnout, emotional depletion, and a career that felt more like a trap than a calling. And somewhere between surviving those early days and rebuilding something better, I realized this platform wasn’t just about telling my story. It was about giving you back yours.
Because here’s what I believe with my whole chest: You already have the power.
My job? Is helping you remember.
Why I Really Started This Work
Yes, I needed support. Yes, I needed my husband to step up. Yes, I needed to stop pretending I could do it all alone.
But the deeper truth? I’ve always cared about the empowerment of women. Always. Since I was a kid watching movies with strong female leads. Since I chose OB/GYN not because I wanted to be a doctor, but because I wanted girls and women to understand their bodies and advocate for themselves.
That same fire brought me to coaching. And it still drives everything I do today.
The Mission in 2026 (and Beyond)
If 2025 was about claiming the deeper “why,” then 2026 is about going all in.
More:
Strategy, not just survival.
Agency, not just advice.
Empowered exits, clear negotiations, and unapologetic boundaries.
Whether you’re deep in early motherhood or plotting your next move out of a toxic system, this space is for you. And while I center Black physician moms in all my work, this podcast has grown into something for every woman physician who’s done doing everything alone.
You are not broken. You are not failing. And you sure as hell don’t need to earn your rest or your freedom.
What I Want You to Know
There is so much more to you than medicine and motherhood.
You are complex. You are powerful. And you deserve to build a life that reflects who you are now, not who they told you to be.
So that’s what we’re doing this year. Together.
And if you’ve been listening — whether this is your first episode or your hundredth — thank you. I’m so grateful you’re here. Now let’s make this year the one where you stop waiting for permission.
You already have the power. Let’s use it.
Don’t miss an episode!
