This Was Made For You

September 10, 2025

There’s a specific kind of exhaustion that comes from trying to grow in spaces that weren’t built for you.

Where the books don’t speak to your reality.

Where the frameworks assume a level of privilege or support you’ve never had.

Where the leaders don’t look like you, live like you, or carry what you carry.

And when the guidance doesn’t land, you start wondering if you’re the problem.

You’re not.

Most of what’s out there wasn’t written for physician moms.

And it definitely wasn’t written for Black physician moms.

The Labor of Translating Yourself Just to Grow

I’ve read the books. I’ve joined the programs. I’ve been in the rooms.

And over and over again, I’ve had to sift through content that didn’t reflect my life — not as a Black woman, not as a mother, and not as a physician.

So I got used to taking what I needed and leaving the rest.

But even that became its own kind of labor.

Because when you’re constantly translating someone else’s framework to make it fit your lived experience, that’s not ease. That’s survival.

You’re working twice as hard just to make the growth accessible.

Why I Created The Connected Motherhood Experience

✨The C.M.E.👩🏾‍⚕️✨ was built to be the space I wish I had when I started coaching.

Not just a group.

Not just a safe space.

A room intentionally designed for Black physician moms to feel seen, heard, and supported without needing to explain.

Because real growth shouldn’t require you to disconnect from who you are.

You deserve to be supported in a space that recognizes the full picture — not one that asks you to shrink or simplify it.

This Isn’t About Exclusion — It’s About Care

Some spaces are labeled “inclusive,” but you can still feel like an afterthought.

This isn’t that.

This is a space that puts your identity at the center — not on the sidelines.

A space where your lived experience isn’t something to overcome, but something to honor.

This is for the women who are always the ones making space for everyone else — and are ready to be on the receiving end of that care for once.

You’re Not Asking for Too Much

There’s nothing wrong with you for needing more context.

More resonance.

More room to be fully human — not just functional.

You don’t have to keep twisting yourself to fit into systems that weren’t designed with your life in mind.

There is space for you here.

There is support that gets it.

And you don’t have to explain.

✨The C.M.E.👩🏾‍⚕️✨ was built for you.

I’m proud of it.

And I’d love to talk with you about what it can make possible.
